Dear Faithful Readers,I've been taking a much-needed hiatus to work on my new book about computer music in the 20th century, The Rests Are Noisy. My pet creature Mulatto certainly likes to read, doesn't she?

Dear Professor McJeebie,
I miss you terribly and I hope you will return soon. Not since Goeyvaerts have I been able to steal musical ideas from an intelligent yet somewhat obscure colleague so fruitfully. Without your inspiration, how can I ever hope to finish my new "Snorophonie" for 500 organs, trillion track tape, three third world countries and flute and clarinet solo?
